History: Kiefer’s Furniture Home was originally Fleming Furniture Home, operated by Frank and Marie Fleming. Frank and Marie became known for quality furniture, selling such lines as Tell City and Berne. Dick Kiefer met the Flemings while selling advertising for the Shelbyville News. They became friends, and when the Flemings decided to retire, they contacted him to see if he was interested in buying the business. Dick and his wife Sharon were interested, and they bought the business in 1969. Read more >>
